Time on our hands

Today we sit in Charleston. While it is a wonderful place to be we are anxious to get home. Before we got here yesterday we called The Charleston City Boatyard to see if they could look at the Auto Pilot. At about 6:00 PM Jeff arrived and once he found the Control box the problem was diagnosed quickly. The computer was broken.

We learnt this morning he has found the correct unit and will install it this afternoon. This means we will stay in Charleston tonight. Once I knew we would be here for the day I asked Bill at Charleston City Boatyard if they could take a look at our valves. This had to be done once we had gone 50 + hours. As I write this entry we are waiting for the mechanic to arrive.

This means we do not have to stop somewhere else to perform this task.

We are moored at the Mega dock made famous by Bob Comeau's Blog. It is about a kilometre long with a lot of beautiful yachts. Many of the large yachts which were tied up last night have left. We anxiously await the arrival of their replacements.
