Pipe Dream is launched

Trish and I have been very busy with the new Irish Mist and have neglected Pipe Dream. At least two of my sister's visits occurred while we were in Rochester.

Last Thursday she was launched in Port Credit Ontario. On Friday Bart a very good friend of my sisters, my sister Margaret and myself motored her home in to a twenty knot breeze. It was a little bumpy but OK. Tomorrow she will have her mast stepped and will be ready for our Sailpast on Saturday. I hope to get a lot of pictures on Saturday and will post them.

Irish Mist III "The Tartan" enters Toronto Harbour for the first time

On Friday May 3rd Trish and I along with very good friends The Campbells sailed Irish Mist from Rochester to Youngstown. The next day the four of us motored across Lake Ontario. The Scottish Music is in honour of the fact that Irish Mist is a Tartan.

As we enter the harbour and approached the club you will see Colin Campbell on deck. If you look closely as the CN Tower is centred in the video Kwasind is seen going from left to right.

Kwasind is our newest launch, which takes us from the mainland to the island, built in 1912. Haiwatha our other launch was built in 1895. They are of course very precious to all members.

Pipe Dream starting to live up to her name

For the past two weeks Trish and I have been too busy either playing squash or preparing IM III for launch to visit Pipe Dream. She is progressing well without us. I have enclosed a picture I received from my sister Mary. We along with most of the club are very excited to see her in the water.
