At 6:30 we left Skull Creek and headed for Port Royal Sound. We have been going around 9 knots riding the ebbing tide. In order to get around the shoals we first have to go South East for about 8 or 9 nautical miles. We are just about to turn north.
The wind is about 4 knots from the South West, the swell is from the East and about 1.5 feet. Once we turn we fave 50 nautical miles to Charleston. It is good to be going North even if we are currently going South East.
