A very long day, but!!!

This morning we got up at 6:00 well I was up about 5:40. Then Trish and I fixed the broken water pump by replacing it. We then went 30 miles mostly against the current from Palm Cove Marina to The Fernandina Inlet. This was followed by 50 nautical miles from the Inlet to Sapelo Sound plus 4 miles in from the sea bouy.
On the way the Auto Pilot started to work, the waves built to 4 or 5 feet and the wind increased to about 15 or 16 Knots. We motored sailed most of the way at between 7.5 and 8.5.

We have been traveling for one and a half days. If we had done it all in the ICW we would have travelled 166 miles. Going outside helps by cutting the miles and increasing the speed. By the way we are in Georgia.

A long day but the sunset makes it all worth while.

Just as I wrote this we discovered a problem actually two. More to come
