Another eventful day

As always we were up early. Paul came down about 7:30 to say Bob wanted to get to work on the stuffing box. Trish and I took everything out of both lasserates and waited. Ten minutes later Bob game down and started to work.

After about two hours he was through. He did say he was not very pleased. He felt the stuffing material. Had not compacted properly. We said we would check it and if it was leaking we would come back. At about 11:50 AM we headed out. Trish drove while I got into a lasserate and waited. Trish gunned it to 2400 RPM and I yelled stop. Water was pouring in.

We returned and Bob and Dustin the Geeral Manager put their heads together. They phoned Edson who told them to use a larger size of Teflon rope. Bob went back to work, but not until Trish and I took everything back out of the starbourd lasserate. Upon completion Bob was much happier with the feel of the larger size. We left Hinkley for the third time at 2:45 PM.

Trish drove and I went back into the lasserate. Trish gunned it to 2400 RPM. NO WATER!!!!!

We are now in Skull Creek again and hope once again to be in Charleston tomorrow.
