Still trying to slow up

We are hoping to be in St. Mary's on November 27. We are about 309 mikes away and it is November 5th. We are booked in to Charleston for Nov 10 & 11. St Mary's is about 242 miles from Charleston. This means that we have 14 days to do 250 miles. When we are travelling we go around 45 miles or we would need 5 to 6 travel days.

Today we are staying in Georgetown and may anchor off the town tomorrow. I think we will get to Charleston Saturday or Sunday.

  1. I recommend that you stop at Brunswick Landing Marina in Brunswick , GA. . A new facility built over the past 15 years with helpful and friendly staff. It is located a couple of blocks from the old downtown and farmers market. As of 10 years ago you need a cab to get to a grocery store. A very protected spot where I have left my boat to fly home for the Holidays. I have stopped thair several times and enjoyed the facilities and cruises Pot Luck's.

  2. Hi Bill Trish and Kelly- Savannah is a good place to stop. We spent a few nights at Isle of Hope marina. They provide a courtesy car and the bus ride to Savannah is cheap. Also Cumberland Island is a must stop and see by St Marys. Wild horses and a lot of history. The national parks rangers are extremely knowledgeable.
