On to Old Teakettle Creek

It is getting cold so we are moving south. We had one bridge, which was no problem being new and having a full 65 feet at low tide. As we left Isle of Hope we heard Mythago, Sherry and David's boat. We first met them at Waterfort, the end of the Erie Canal.
It was too cold and dark to think about getting together, maybe tonight.

November 14 Savanah

We went to Savanah, but did not take pictures. It was too cold to take our hands out of our pockets. The lunch was great and the city beautiful and historic. We came and went by buss. The Marina staff gave us a ride there and came and got us when I phoned. The best thing we did was get the Wind Mobile phone. It does not work very well outside Toronto, but is excellent in the states.
We had wanted to stay tomorrow now we are leaving to get south away from the cold. Hopefully we will be in Vero Beach for Thanksgiving.
This evening I took a walk in the neighborhood met some of the neighbors and took some pictures. The houses by the way all looked as if they belonged in Georgia.

It is a beautiful day but cool. At some point during the night it went down to 36 or 3 in Canadian.
We will take some pictures today and hopefully sent them tonight.
We think that we may leave tomorrow and try to find some warmth.

Nov 13 On to The Isle of Hope

This morning we left early. We had intended to leave about 7:30, but where up and ready at 6:30. We went through the bridge 40 minutes after low tide. Once again nothing touched.
As we headed for the ocean we passed Harbor Town Yacht Basin. There is a PGA event held each year at their golf course. You may recognize the red and white light house.

We also saw a lot of Dauphins, but they where too far away to get a picture. On the way across the entrance to the Savanah River we had a chat with another boat. They just wanted to make sure we saw them. I managed to get a picture which I blew up so as you could see it.

As you can see in the picture above all was quiet on the seas today. Tonight it is suppose to go up to 25 knots. We are at the Isle of Hope Marina which is just south of Savanah. We borrowed a courtesy car and did some shopping. Tomorrow we hope to take a bus to Savanah and do some site seeing.

Good afternoon from Hilton Head Island

We are now almost in Georgia. This morning we got up early and left at 7:00. We whent under the Beaufort Bridge one hour after low tide. We did not touch anything. We then had a shot trip to Skull Creek Marina.
On the way we saw a number of Dauphins but no pictures. We got here nice and early so I went across the road to plY golf. When I got there I knew it was beyond my skills. I decided to go to the range. Bup Bill's, my grand father, adjustable club worked really well.
Then Kelly ani did a tour on Fort Mitchell a small but effective fort. We also went by Paris Island a Marine Base this morning.

Day 79 Nov 11 Beaufort

We have agreed to stay tonight and wait and see what Butler will do for us. This means we can now go to the Beaufort Veterans Day Parade. Last night we caught up with Helle and Paul from R Liberty. We had not seen them since Annapolis. They along with everyone else have had some issues, which as of now are under control.
I will now take some pictures of Beaufort and the parade. When I get back to Wifi I will add them.
By the way they just phoned and the motor is ready.
